ABOUT COLORADO CREATIVE DISTRICTS
Colorado Creative Districts is a program of Colorado Creative Industries, our state’s art agency housed in the Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT). The program certifies communities that contribute to our state’s economy through creativity, culture, and the arts. The program’s goal is to help communities increase jobs, incomes, and investments in creative places. There are currently 30 certified creative districts, from Breckenridge to Durango, Gunnison to Trinidad. Alamosa is eager to join this list of incredible creative communities across Colorado.
In 2024 Colorado Creative Industries announced a more than 50% increase to their overall budget with $210,000 of that budget allocated to Creative Districts. This announcement further emboldens our efforts in Alamosa - now is the time for us to seize this opportunity.
